We are based in Bennetts End, Hemel Hempstead, just minutes away from M1 and M25 junctions.
No two children are the same, and like you, we want the absolute best for every single one of them. That is why we take a dynamic approach when teaching, as this enables children and staff to learn what works best for your child together.
Children love adventures. They love new challenges, trying new things, making new friends, learning new skills, and receiving positive feedback from all our staff.
Therefore, we are continually developing our activities to keep your child on their toes, physically and mentally – as they keep us on ours.
All our parents are enrolled on the Famly app – giving access to real-time observations concerning your little one, all throughout the day!
Our nursery staff are very important to us at The house that Jack built nursery. We are passionate about training and progression for staff in their roles at the nursery. We arrange training for staff but also ask them for their ideas and allow them to choose training also to meet their needs.
One of our main aims is to ensure that by the time your child leaves our Preschool, they will have received the best possible early year’s education and are ready to excel at primary school.
This focus on child development begins as early as 6 months of age where a range of toys and activities are used to encourage and facilitate the development of each young child’s communication skills.
We believe that a strong, co-operative relationship between nursery and home is key for a child’s happiness and social and educational development.
We work closely with parents so that we can understand what is best for your child.
At The House that Jack Built we always try to accommodate every child’s dietary or religious requirements.
We take pride in our 5-star safety rated kitchen, and our on-site chef cooks everything from scratch with fresh locally sourced produce.
We are a member of the early year’s nutrition partnership.
THTJB Nurseries Watford and Hemel Hempstead are now part of the #OperationEncompass training scheme. This means that all our Designated Safeguarding Leads staff will have completed a CPD accredited training module with a focus on safeguarding children experiencing domestic abuse.
