Welcome to Our Nursery

Hello! And a warm welcome to our nursery! We are Natalie and Casey, Managers of The house that Jack built nursery Hemel Hempstead. We are based in Bennetts End, Hemel Hempstead, with close links to the M1 and M25 motorways and Apsley train station.
Our fantastic, bright and spacious nursery is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am until 6pm, 51 weeks of the year. We are closed for bank holidays and for one week at Christmas. We offer 54 places at any one time, offering high quality Early Years education for children from 6 months to 5 years old. We welcome little ones for full days or morning/afternoon sessions. We accept 2, 3 and 4 year government funding, and have a limited number of term time spaces available.

We are located next to a large field for the little ones to explore and be amongst nature, with park and play areas. We are surrounded by local shops, and the children go on daily walks around the nursery, interacting with the local community. This is a great opportunity to safely be in the outside environment, learn about nature and important road safety skills.

With a combined experience of 37 years within childcare, we as nursery managers get so much pride from watching your precious children start with us, settle in, and begin exploring the nursery environment. It is a joy to see them making new friends, building attachments with staff, and feeling safe and happy in our nursery setting.

Our main aim is to support children’s first journeys into the world of education, to encourage your child with their individual development, to reach their full potential in a fun, safe and stimulating environment. All educational resources for the children are age appropriate and placed at the children’s level to encourage independence and allow the children to explore all the resources on offer to them.

Our dedicated, caring, and enthusiastic team provide educational and fun activities which are tailored to the individual child based on their needs and interests. The team provide a warm welcome to all parents/carers, in a safe, happy, and supportive atmosphere.

We will work very closely with you as parents and have an open-door policy so if you as a parent/ carer have any questions we will always be able to answer them.

As managers, we always aim to have a working environment where all staff feel happy, safe, respected and most of all have fun. We promote personal development by supporting staff further their knowledge with training courses.
